A Night To celebrate RESILIENCE AND RECOVERY IN LOS ANGELES
This year, LAFH Awards will bring together advocates, longtime supporters, industry leaders, government partners, and friends for a night dedicated to honoring resilience and recovery in Los Angeles. Amid the devastating wildfires that have impacted our city, we gather to honor the strength of our community and the progress we have made and will continue to make in helping individuals transition out of homelessness. Register today and join us for an evening of education, advocacy, and inspiration. Your invaluable support is the driving force behind our work, and we are excited to share this special night with you. We look forward to seeing you there.

Our Impact:
a HOME FOR EVERY ONE
Meet Lorena, LAFH Awards 2024 Guest
When Lorena's partner became physically abusive, she found herself in a situation she never wanted her three children to experience. Without any family nearby, Lorena had to make ends meet on her own. Even working two jobs, she wasn't able to earn enough to afford an apartment for her family. With nowhere to turn, Lorena and her children began living in their car. Once Lorena was connected with LA Family Housing, her family's journey to a stable life began. The family moved into an interim housing site, and her children were connected with Schools on Wheels, a partner agency that provided tutoring and school supplies. With the help of LAFH's Housing Navigation and Housing Location teams, Lorena's family has now moved into a home of their own, and with the agency's Stabilization team supporting them through this time of transition, they are set up for a more secure future.
MEET OUR HONOREES
It is our great privilege to honor the Brander family and U.S. Bank with LA Family Housing’s 2025 Inspiration Award. U.S. Bank has been a leading advocate in financial support and strategic collaboration, providing LAFH with nearly $1.7 million to fund our programs and critical supportive services, affordable housing development, and general operations. Wayne Brander, U.S. Bank’s Executive Vice President and West Region Manager, joined LAFH’s Board of Directors in 2007, and his family’s involvement began even earlier. Over the years, the Brander family has witnessed LAFH’s transformative impact firsthand, and lead by example by consistently rolling up their sleeves to support hands-on volunteer projects.
The combined efforts of U.S. Bank and the Brander family illustrate the profound impact of aligning individual passion with corporate responsibility. Together, they have contributed to creating a more equitable and compassionate Los Angeles, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We hope you will join us in celebrating their shared vision for change at this year’s LAFH Awards.
