A Night To celebrate building home and community
For more than 40 years, LA Family Housing has built more than homes—we’ve built foundations for belonging, connection, and long-term stability that make it possible for individuals and families to leave homelessness behind for good.
This year, LAFH Awards will bring together industry leaders, elected officials, and our closest supporters and partners to honor the collective spirit and intergenerational commitment that fuels this work—building community, home by home across Los Angeles.
Register today and join us for an evening of education, advocacy, and inspiration. Your invaluable support is the driving force behind our work, and we are excited to share this special night with you. We look forward to seeing you there.
2026 LAFH INSPIRATION AWARD HONOREES:
Lisa and Josh Taub
Lisa and Josh Taub’s longstanding commitment to LAFH’s programs and the families we serve has inspired and galvanized their community of family, friends, and neighbors. Raised in families that are generous of spirit, they have carried that legacy forward by instilling those values in their three children. Over the past two decades, they have brought together their family and community to participate in countless events, both as volunteers and donors. Their tradition of delivering holiday gifts and essentials to families in one of LAFH’s affordable housing properties for the past 15 years has cultivated lasting relationships and fostered connection and mutual care across generations. Through their sustained generosity, Lisa and Josh have built a true sense of home, community, and belonging to those we serve.
2026 LAFH LEGACY AWARD HONOREE:
Conrad N. Hilton Foundation
The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation has been a philanthropic leader in driving homelessness solutions in Los Angeles for decades, supporting the development of affordable housing across the region and strengthening deeper regional coordination to improve our collective response to people experiencing homelessness. LAFH’s partnership with the Hilton Foundation spans nearly 25 years. Most recently, the Foundation has supported the development of permanent supportive housing properties; the launch and expansion of a regional system that has enabled tens of thousands of individuals to access services and housing; the enhancement of services for seniors experiencing or at risk of homelessness; and targeted efforts to move individuals living in encampments to interim and permanent housing options.
Our Impact:
A Home for every one
Meet Lorena, LAFH Awards Guest
When Lorena’s partner became physically abusive, she found herself in a situation she never wanted her three children to experience. Without any family nearby, Lorena had to make ends meet on her own. Even working two jobs, she wasn’t able to earn enough to afford an apartment for her family. With nowhere to turn, Lorena and her children began living in their car.
Once Lorena was connected with LA Family Housing, her family’s journey to a stable life began. The family moved into an interim housing site, and her children were connected to School on Wheels, a partner agency that provided tutoring and school supplies. While LAFH’s Mental Health team worked with Lorena to support her recovery from years of trauma, she also benefited from access to credit repair services, child care, and employment services, helping her to get back on her feet financially.
With the help of LAFH’s Housing Navigation and Housing Location teams, Lorena’s family has now moved into a home of their own, and with the agency’s Stabilization team supporting them through this time of transition, they are set up for a more secure future.
